The "One Thing" That Will Not Be Taken from You

This book is about the role and work of the Holy Spirit within the church as well as through individual disciples of Christ. In Galatians 3:3, Paul rebukes the Galatian Church: "Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?" The global church seems to be doing the same. So I am trying to remind all of us that we cannot achieve any kingdom goals if we neglect, grieve, or quench the Holy Spirit who is our only divine Helper. He was sent to start the church, when Jesus ascended to the Father, to teach and remind us all that Christ came to do in the world. We have to use correctly the gifts He provides for ministry, bear the fruit of the Spirit, and use the armor He provides for fighting our archenemy, the devil. Our failure to walk with the Spirit has not only led to the great dechurching but brought much confusion and suffering to the most vulnerable, whom Jesus referred to as "the least of these."
